About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Activities Coordinator to join our team at Seasons Retirement Communities. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating engaging and meaningful events, activities, and services that promote an active lifestyle among our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver diverse social services, special events, and activities that cater to the interests and needs of our residents.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as transportation and mobility support, as needed.
  • Motivate and encourage residents to participate in activities and events, promoting a sense of community and social connection.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and record resident participation and satisfaction, providing valuable insights for program improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to build a positive and supportive work environment, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of our community.

Requirements:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or hospitality environment, with knowledge of activation programs and mobility restrictions.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the delivery of diverse social services and special events.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of the elderly and disabled, including those living with dementia.
  • Class G/Class 5 driver's license with a clear driver's abstract (applicable to Ontario/Alberta).
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Current Safe Food Handler's certification.
  • Relevant professional experience in recreation and/or equivalent certificate.
