Job Title: Wholesale Butcher

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wholesale Butcher to join our team at AL-SHAMAS FOOD PRODUCTS LTD.

Job Summary:

The Wholesale Butcher will be responsible for cutting and preparing meat products for wholesale distribution. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cut and prepare meat products for wholesale distribution
  • Operate band saws, manual cutting utensils, and power grinders to cut and trim meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts
  • Price meat products
  • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
  • Grind meats
  • Train meat cutters
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
  • Prepare special orders
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Dependability, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads
Work Environment:

The Wholesale Butcher will work in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment. The work environment is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a cold/refrigerated environment.
