Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Professional to join our Accounting team. As a trusted advisor, you will provide comprehensive, tailored financial information to enable clients to make informed decisions with confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct review and audit of financial statements
  • Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files simultaneously
  • Perform financial reporting, treasury, accounts receivable, and revenue management
  • Summarize clients' current financial status by collecting information and validating balance sheets and profit and loss statements
  • Assess and assure the appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, and capital asset additions
  • Review and investigate discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports
  • Review charts of accounts and entries posted to accounts
  • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, and client summaries outlining engagement findings, facts, and highlights
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients and coach and mentor junior team members
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience
  • CPA designation
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Assurance Standards (GAAS), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) experience is a plus
  • Experience working with accounting software
  • Understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles
