We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our Developer Platform team at HuntsBot. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our platform's APIs and systems, enabling external developers to build new products and integrations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to plan and build product capabilities that allow third-party developers to extend our platform's functionality with HuntsBot Apps.
- Develop and maintain scalable APIs, leveraging your expertise in API development at scale, and share your knowledge with the team to elevate our practices.
- Design and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, ensuring the security and integrity of our platform.
- Solve complex technical problems, working collaboratively with a distributed team to empower hundreds of developers and millions of customers.
- Participate in all engineering activities, including incident response, code review, and releasing new functionality.
- Contribute to process improvements, helping to streamline our planning, development, and deployment processes.
- 5+ years of experience shipping features and products, with a focus on backend systems at scale.
- 2+ years of experience developing APIs that are leveraged by an external audience.
- Proficiency in Node.js and experience with Express.js and MongoDB.
- Strong debugging skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and work collaboratively in a distributed team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical trade-offs and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
