Job Summary

Helical Pile Solutions is a leading deep foundations contractor with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team and contribute to the successful installation of piling foundations on active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of piling foundations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of duties.
  • Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, to move materials and equipment on site.
  • Coordinate ground activities, including pile placement and equipment movement.
  • Exhibit pride in workmanship, executing duties safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Understand the importance of dependability and consistency in a high-performance team environment.
  • Manage field-level risks by undertaking required steps of a Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLHA).
  • Ability to follow direction and work within a demanding environment.
  • Capable of working in all weather conditions.
  • Identify bottlenecks or hazards and plan tasks safely.
  • Possess good judgment and organizational skills.
Requirements
  • Previous work experience with a Loader in an industrial capacity is required.
  • Understand the limitations of working on a right-of-way (ROW) and working within environmental constraints.
  • Experience with loading, unloading, and moving large diameter pipe on a ROW with a Loader (fork & grapple).
  • Must have a current valid driver's license and able to provide a clean driver's abstract.
  • Related certificates and training are preferred: PST, Ground Disturbance, CSTS-09, First Aid, H2S Alive, WHMIS, OSSA.
Work Environment
  • Construction environment.
  • Outdoors, including travel to remote locations.
  • Exposure to loud noises.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Physical elements include bending, twisting, crouching, kneeling, standing for long periods of time, lifting weights up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be always worn.
  • Fast-paced with tight deadlines.
  • Accommodations while on a project are arranged by HPS in either a camp setting or hotel as determined by project requirements.
  • Shift work.
  • Work schedule may vary.
