We are seeking a skilled Transportation Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Horizontal Infrastructure Business Unit, you will be responsible for managing and delivering transportation infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead transportation infrastructure projects from inception to completion
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to gather pre-design information, monitor construction, and review post-construction results
  • Lead and conduct inspections of existing bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures in accordance with industry standards
  • Coordinate work with clients and other disciplines, including highway/road, electrical, drainage, and environmental planning
  • Analyze and evaluate design solutions for transportation structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and foundations
  • Provide direction and guidance to project team members and support staff
  • Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents, and cost estimates
  • Conduct business development activities to secure new projects and clients
  • Participate in team progress meetings and contribute to the development of project plans and schedules

Requirements:

  • BASc or B.Eng. in Civil/Structural Engineering with a strong interest and experience in bridge engineering
  • P.Eng. status and 10+ years of experience leading biennial inspection assignments and large transportation structures projects
  • RAQS eligibility within bridge engineering for biennial inspections
  • Experience in fatigue inspections, proposal and report writing, asset management, and project management
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with bridge inspection and asset management software, SAP2000, CSiBridge, and SFRAME
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Able to work in a team environment and excel in both bridge and multi-disciplined projects
