Job Summary:
Ranger Design, a leading manufacturer and service provider of innovative fleet upfit solutions and commercial van equipment, is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze and calculate procurement costs and develop cost reduction strategies to optimize financial performance.
- Drive purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality, to secure favorable agreements.
- Ensure products are launched within financial targets by effectively managing procurement processes.
- Lead and pursue new supplier opportunities to expand the company's network and improve supply chain resilience.
- Conduct market research and create cost estimates and forecasts to inform procurement decisions.
- Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques to negotiate contracts that comply with industry regulations.
- Maintain strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships with suppliers to drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, and strategic skills to drive procurement excellence.
- Knowledge of an ERP system, preferably Epicor, to streamline procurement processes.
- SQL knowledge is an asset to analyze data and inform procurement decisions.
- Bilingualism is an asset to communicate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication skills and business acumen to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, to create reports and presentations.
- At least four years of procurement experience in a related industry to bring expertise and knowledge to the role.
- Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities to drive procurement excellence and improve business performance.
- Familiarity with quality and ISO and OEM standards to ensure compliance and excellence in procurement practices.
- Comfortable performing audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Ability to build solid relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders through strong interpersonal skills.
- Required to travel to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
