Culinary Operations Supervisor

The role of a Food Service Supervisor is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining establishment. This position requires a blend of leadership, culinary knowledge, and customer service skills.
Educational Requirements- Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
This position is based in a restaurant setting, providing a dynamic and fast-paced atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules efficiently.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Assess and estimate the ingredients and supplies necessary for meal preparation.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports as required.
- Possess a strong understanding of the culinary genres offered by the establishment.
- Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
This role involves supervising a team of approximately 3-4 individuals, including:
- Food service counter attendants and food preparers
- Kitchen and food service helpers
Having personal transportation is essential for this position.
Work ConditionsThe job entails working in a fast-paced environment that requires:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Walking and engaging in physically demanding tasks.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong client focus and efficient interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral communication abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a team setting.
- Initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.
A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is required for this permanent position. The working language is English, with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
