About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Thai Ivory Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our discerning customers.
    • Plan and execute menu items, including determining portion sizes and costs.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Kitchen Operations and Management
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
    • Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Culinary Expertise
    • Develop and maintain expertise in Thai cuisine, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.
    • Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious dishes that showcase our brand's unique flavor profile.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of Thai cuisine.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and working under pressure.
