We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer Officer to join our team at Groupe Océan. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our tugboats and vessels.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain all machinery on fleet vessels, including main engines and auxiliary generators.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal vessel performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve operational goals.
- Canadian 3rd Class Marine Engineer's Certificate (Motor).
- Propulsion plant simulator Level 2 certificate.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience at sea as an engineer.
- Valid Marine Medical Certificate.
- Certificates of competency in Basic Safety STCW-BS, Lifeboat and rescue boat operating skills, and Advanced firefighting techniques.
- Good knowledge of diesel mechanics and hydraulic systems.
- Analytical skills for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work on a computer in a Microsoft 365 environment.
- Responsible, autonomous, motivated by teamwork and punctual.
- Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written (asset).
