POSITION SUMMARY

Operations Manager

CB Canada, a rapidly expanding rental business in North America, is in search of an Operations Manager. In this role, you will oversee the overall functioning of the branch, including revenue generation, profit and loss management, employee oversight, facility and equipment management, dispatch operations, and growth in market share through community engagement and establishing a strong presence in the area and specialized market segments in collaboration with the sales team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leadership
- Guide employees to work cohesively and develop actionable plans for team success. Inspire through ongoing assessment and feedback.
- Establish clear and measurable objectives for the entire team (Review and adjust staffing levels to meet the needs of the branch and its customers).
- Direct various staff members in their respective roles, fostering development, evaluation, and motivation.

• Operations
- Enhance operational efficiencies.
- Identify underperforming assets and implement action plans for increased engagement.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety audits, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with State and Federal OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Apply fundamental knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and internal combustion systems (preventative maintenance).
- Manage human resource functions (payroll, scheduling, documentation, etc.).

• Business Acumen
- Develop an annual budget and forecast using company templates.
- Utilize performance reports to set financial objectives, devise strategies, and understand the financial influences on the business.
- Analyze competitor business models within the market and assist in formulating strategic plans.
- Participate in business decision-making at all levels.

• Sales and Customer Service
- Foster strategic customer relationships, ensuring that customer perspectives drive all value-added business activities.
- Clarify billing procedures to customers and build trust and understanding.
- Assist customers in identifying their rental needs through product knowledge.
- Conduct ongoing store flow analysis and updates to enhance productivity and customer service levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years in the rental equipment or construction sectors.

• At least 1 year of experience in Operations Management or related retail management.

• Strong supervisory skills.

• Comprehensive knowledge of construction equipment is essential.

• Effective communication abilities.

• Basic proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Internet/Intranet, and Wynne system.
The physical demands of this position include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required.
