Rebar Yard Supervisor

Armada Steel is a family owned reinforcing steel company, serving the southern interior of BC since 1984. Armada has recently opened a second location in Chilliwack to better serve the Lower Mainland area. We are looking for an individual with good leadership skills and experience in a rebar yard setting. Their duties will include but not limited to the following:

- Ensure safe and efficient work flow by supervising staff and oversee production in accordance with company policy and customer demands.
- Provide direction, coaching and training for all positions with current and new employees.
- Work closely with daily operations and carry out the functions of a rebar manufacturing yard. Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping.
- Meet production quality and quantity standards while supervising all yard personnel and daily operations with employees and equipment.
- Troubleshoot production problems encountered by workers so delays are mínimal and equipment functions as safely and efficiently as possible.
- Oversee maintenance and minimize downtime, perform daily inspections and monthly inventory reports. Preform various jobs such as operation of sheer, bender, crane, zoomboom and bobcat or any other duties as requested by the Operations Manager.
- Have experience with Microsoft Outlook and general knowledge of computers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Chilliwack, BC V2R4S8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- rebar manufacturing: 5 years (preferred)
- Supervising: 2 years (preferred)
