About the Role

BrainStation is a global leader in digital skills training and workforce transformation. We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Associate Educator to join our team of experts in teaching and developing cutting-edge digital education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver lectures on cybersecurity topics to students in our 12-week bootcamp program
  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to students as they build projects using the latest technologies
  • Facilitate in-class activities, group discussions, and demos to foster a dynamic and collaborative learning environment
  • Contribute to the development of new content and research to stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices
  • Apply BrainStation's Agile Learning methodologies to continuously improve the educational experience for students
  • Collaborate with other educators to develop and implement innovative teaching methods
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements in cybersecurity

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or Engineer, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and 4+ years of work experience in the vocation
  • Deep knowledge of information security systems, cybersecurity operations, governance, assurance, and compliance
  • Understanding of standard professional certification processes, encryption, application security, penetration testing, and computer forensics
  • Experience with risk and incident management, the latest security vulnerabilities, advisories, understanding of attacks, and determination of countermeasures
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting information technology systems, including Windows, Cisco, and Linux technologies
  • Strong command of Network and Systems Security, Cryptography, and Security Infrastructure
  • Experience and technical knowledge of Linux, Python, Scripting, Firewalls, SQL Injection, and Network Protocols
  • Experience building and leading technical teams
  • Comfortable speaking to large groups and mentoring others on the job
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring others and creating positive learning experiences
