Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst to enhance our security and compliance framework. As the inaugural member of our compliance team, you will collaborate with a globally distributed workforce to advance compliance and risk management initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand the Governance, Risk, and Compliance function at Mattermost.
  • Oversee and update security and privacy policies, along with training programs, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Enhance privacy and security risk management initiatives within the organization.
  • Work with internal and external partners to conduct compliance audits.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance and security risks.
  • Administer the third-party risk management process for external vendors.
  • Address customer and prospect security inquiries and requests.
  • Handle requests under GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in security risk management, information security, or related GRC fields.
  • Hands-on experience with security or risk management standards such as SOC2, ISO27001, FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST CSF, and NIST.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess security requirements and correlate them with suitable security controls.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects across various teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in ensuring compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
  • Background in maintaining and implementing compliance requirements for the public sector.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually. Mattermost is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
