About the Role

Maven Transport Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Manage and analyze financial data, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement financial plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Accounting and Compliance
    • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent financial errors and irregularities.
  • Leadership and Training
    • Supervise and train junior accounting staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of accounting staff.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement financial models to forecast future financial performance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior accounting role.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Proficient in accounting software and systems.
