About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor - Welding to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our welding department, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of welders to achieve production goals and targets.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of all welded products, ensuring that they meet the company's standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, purchasing, and production, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to welders to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that all employees follow safety protocols.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of production, quality, and safety metrics.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Welding Supervisor (CWB) certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid CWB tickets for steel and aluminum welding.
  • Ability to read blue-print drawings and interpret weld symbols.
  • Previous experience in a welding supervision role in a custom-fabrication facility.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
