Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at GR Baker Memorial Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice and Northern Health's Mission, Vision, and Values statement.
- Work collaboratively with the Program Manager of Critical Care and Surgery to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in the Northern Health Regional Emergency Department Education Program (REDEP), which combines online curriculum with skills/simulation lab and clinical practicum to prepare registered nurses for emergency nursing care.
- Upon completion of the REDEP education, learners will transition into the Northern Health Critical Care Program - High Acuity Unit (NHCCP-HAU).
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Ability to promote safe, competent patient care.
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including computer software such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
