Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team at Baycrest Hospital Physiotherapy Services. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment services to patients in our Complex Continuing Care unit, Slow Stream Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation High-Tolerance areas, Behavioral Neurology and Ambulatory Services - Day Treatment Centre/ICCT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide treatment interventions to patients with complex geriatric, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Participate in the teaching and mentoring of physiotherapy and physiotherapy assistant students, promoting evidence-based practice and professional development.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional team members, volunteers, and the physiotherapy clinical team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, and support the development of evidence-based programs.
  • Assign patient plans of care, provide direction, supervision, and monitoring of physiotherapy assistants, ensuring seamless care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (an asset).
  • Experience working with geriatric populations with multiple medical conditions and/or cognitive impairment (preferred).
  • Experience in providing clinical instruction and teaching to physiotherapy students (an asset).
  • Previous experience and/or interest in developing evidence-based programs (an asset).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Meditech, MDS, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
