Job Title: Metal Fabrication Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at Tri-Fab Metals Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication of metal products, including operating metal cleaning equipment, sorting metal sheets and parts, and grinding or chipping excess metal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Load and unload vehicles
  • Read and interpret work orders
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in metal fabrication
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a noisy metal products manufacturing company environment, with a physically demanding workload and repetitive tasks.
