We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Insurance Advisor to join our team at BrokerLink. As a key member of our Commercial Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving business growth through the retention and development of existing clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide front-line customer service to Commercial Lines policyholders, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct needs assessments, recommend solutions, and advise clients on insurance matters to ensure their risk management needs are met.
- Sell new policies and write new business to existing or new clients, with a focus on retaining existing business and growing the portfolio.
- Quote new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters, and walk-in clients, ensuring accurate and timely quotes.
- Collaborate with Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of client issues.
- Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date on underwriting rules and workflow processes, participating in training initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Participate in community marketing initiatives to promote BrokerLink's services and build relationships with potential clients.
- High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
- Commercial Insurance experience an asset
- Alberta General Level 1 License is required
- Proficient in EPIC
- Proficient using CISCO Finesse
- Proficient in MS Office- Word, Excel, Outlook
- Previous sales experience is an asset;
- Excellent customer service skills and adept in conflict resolution
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pass a criminal and credit check
