Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting oral health through preventive measures.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care services to ensure optimal oral health outcomes.
- Perform clinical preventative hygiene services, including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants, and whitening.
- Provide oral health education and counseling to patients, introducing new techniques and promoting preventive care.
- Take dental radiographs, Itero scans, and intra-oral pictures, with training provided as needed.
- Administer local anesthetic and nitrous oxide as required.
- Establish and maintain patient loyalty by delivering tailored experiences based on patient expectations, while upholding ethical and professional standards.
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Registered as a Dental Hygienist and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with ABELDent and digital radiography systems is an asset.
