Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team, providing clinical preventative hygiene services to patients and serving as an oral health educator.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate services for patient care
- Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services, including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants, and whitening
- Serve as an oral health educator, introducing new preventative techniques and counseling patients
- Take dental radiographs, Itero scan, intra-oral pictures, and administer local anesthetic and nitrous oxide as needed
- Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on patients' expectations, while maintaining ethical and professional behavior
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments and maintaining patient records
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program
- Registered as a Dental Hygienist and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with ABELDent and digital radiography systems preferred
