Job Title: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Swerdna Services Ltd. As a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex heavy equipment and heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in heavy equipment and heavy trucks using computerized and other testing equipment.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy equipment and heavy trucks.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks and service attachments and working tools.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
  • Diesel engine repair specialization, including fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, air conditioning systems, lubrication systems, and engine control systems.
  • Powered equipment repair specialization, including hydraulic-operated working attachments, compressors, pumps, and electric generators.
  • Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization, including mechanical transmissions, drive trains and final drives, hydraulic transmissions, tracked vehicle suspensions and steering, wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering, differentials, and brake systems.
Work Environment:

The work environment is physically demanding, with dusty and noisy conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a shop environment.
