We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our medical team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine patients and take their medical histories
- Order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consult and refer to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations
Requirements:
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Current Certification
Working Hours:
- The Emergency Department is open from 7:30 am to 11:30 pm daily
