About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Big City Gourmet Catering. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our clients, ensuring high-quality and presentation standards.
  • Special Dietary Needs: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, adhering to strict dietary requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and training on food preparation, cooking, and handling.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, flexibility, organized, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
