About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator - Structural Metal Specialist to join our team at Steel Art Signs. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural metal components for our signs and displays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay Out and Fabricate Metal Components
    • Lay out reference points and patterns for metal fabrication
    • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • Welding and Assembly
    • Weld or bolt sections together to create complex metal structures
    • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Quality Control and Safety
    • Inspect and test fabricated components for quality and accuracy
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company safety protocols
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; experience in metal fabrication an asset
  • Welding Techniques
    • Proficient in MIG, TIG, Plasma ARC, and ARC spot welding techniques
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Experience with brakes, presses, cutting torches, drills, grinders, shears, and other metal-working equipment
    • Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software
  • Language and Work Environment
    • Fluent in English; ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
    • 40-44 hours per week; permanent position
