Position Overview:
Title: Assistant Food Store Manager
Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after a specified period. Candidates relocating should ensure they have the necessary health coverage.
Work Schedule:
Availability required on weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
As the Assistant Food Store Manager, you will report directly to the Food Manager and support the daily operations of the store. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in recruitment, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations in collaboration with the Food Manager.
- Addressing customer service inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with operational and environmental standards.
- Managing product ordering and receiving to maintain proper inventory levels.
- Supervising store personnel.
- Overseeing store opening and closing procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Experience in coaching and training team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Prior experience in the food sector is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Post-secondary education in Business or a related field is advantageous.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, as some heavy lifting is involved.
