About the Role

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elementary Principal to join our team. As a key leader in our organization, you will be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and guidance to teachers and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs.
  • Student Success: Develop and implement plans to improve student achievement and well-being, working closely with teachers, parents, and community partners.
  • Staff Development: Support the growth and development of teachers and staff, providing opportunities for professional learning and development.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, community groups, and local organizations to promote the school and the board's mission.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including budgeting, facilities management, and student services.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Successful completion of Ontario School Principal Qualifications Course Part I and II, completion of Religious Education Specialist, and a minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience with at least one year as a Vice-Principal.
  • Experience: Experience in both school and board-wide activities, with a preference for experience in a variety of settings.
  • Leadership Practices: Demonstrated ability to set directions, build relationships and develop people, develop the organization to support desired practices, improve the instructional program, and secure accountability.
