Position Overview

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is in search of a committed Recreation Assistant to enhance the team at Adanac Park Lodge in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Recreation Therapist to implement engaging recreation initiatives
  • Assist the team in organizing excursions and coordinating activities
  • Guide and support volunteers in their roles
  • Assess and report on patient progress to the interdisciplinary team
  • Oversee the inventory of recreational equipment

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Completion of a recognized Recreation Diploma Program or equivalent

Essential Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and instructional abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities
  • Proficiency in operating relevant equipment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
