Job Title: Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in the area of Sustainable Food Systems Pedagogy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in sustainable food systems, environmental research, and community-engaged learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and develop courses in sustainable food systems, environmental research, and community-engaged learning
  • Develop and implement curriculum in sustainable food systems and environmental research
  • Supervise and mentor students in research projects and independent study
  • Contribute to the development of the School of the Environment's sustainability programs
Requirements:
  • PhD in Environmental Studies or a related field
  • Experience in teaching and developing courses in sustainable food systems and environmental research
  • Experience in community-engaged learning and experiential education
  • Strong research and publication record in sustainable food systems and environmental research
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in grant writing and securing funding for research projects
  • Experience in leadership roles in professional associations related to food and sustainability
  • Strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching and research
