Compensation: $77.830 per hour

Overview:

Lakeridge Health is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Engineering Operations Manager to enhance our Engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your extensive experience to develop, implement, and sustain a forward-thinking approach to our Engineering and Infrastructure Program, addressing both current and future requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Report directly to the Senior Director of Infrastructure and Capital Development, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of:
- Central Utilities Plant
- Mechanical plumbing systems
- HVAC refrigeration
- Medical gas systems
- Building automation control systems
- Corporate cabling and roofing systems

- Ensure compliance with Technical Safety and Standards Association and Power Engineers Regulations for all Central Utility Plants.

- Provide technical guidance and develop projects aimed at enhancing safety, integrity, and efficiency across multiple facilities.

- Oversee scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs for all electrical and mechanical equipment using a Computerized Maintenance Management system.

- Collaborate with the Director on capital renewal planning for major infrastructure systems, maintaining a proficient state for all facilities.

- Develop and manage an apprenticeship program for Stationary Engineers, fostering partnerships with educational institutions to support trade education.

Qualifications:
  • 1st Class Operating Engineer Certificate from Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) required;
  • Management Certificate (CHA) and/or Professional Engineer designation preferred;
  • Demonstrated experience in Power Plant operations and maintenance;
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities;
  • Proficient in financial management, human resources, and strategic planning;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools;
  • Well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • Ability to establish credibility through knowledge and professionalism;
  • Commitment to nurturing and mentoring team members;
