Epidemiological Research Specialist - Integrative Oncology Studies

This position focuses on conducting grant-supported research in the fields of lung cancer and tobacco use at a leading cancer research institute. Key research areas encompass the analysis of epidemiological data related to lung cancer, examination of tobacco consumption trends, mathematical modeling of tobacco-related behaviors and lung cancer progression, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of tobacco cessation interventions. Candidates with proficient programming and statistical analysis capabilities in R software are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in epidemiologic, clinical, and methodological research in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Initiate new cancer control research initiatives by formulating research strategies and resolving data-related challenges.
  • Execute cancer control research projects, including subject recruitment, data collection, and result analysis.
  • Prepare documentation of research findings in scientific manuscripts and reports.
  • Craft research grant proposals and comprehensive reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a research setting.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of epidemiology, health services, and statistical methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using statistical software.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills to adhere to project timelines.
