Position: Junior QA Test Engineer

Survalent Technology Corporation, with a rich history of over 50 years in the utility sector, is seeking a dedicated Junior QA Test Engineer. This role involves crucial responsibilities in ensuring the quality of Survalent's software products through meticulous manual testing. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying and documenting software defects, contributing to the enhancement of our products.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Familiarity with software testing methodologies and automation tools is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of the SCADA industry and automation processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in English, with strong technical writing capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a global team.
  • Quick learner with a strong desire to take initiative and deliver results.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work and maintaining strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of Survalent software products.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Develop and execute manual test plans, including data validation and regression testing.
  • Analyze software requirements and create relevant test scenarios.
  • Manage the testing environment and oversee test preparation and execution.
  • Document defects and track their resolution, prioritizing based on severity.
  • Coordinate with development leads to address necessary fixes for software releases.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of test results to aid in software debugging and modifications.
  • Assist the QA Manager in conducting quality assurance investigations and analyses.
  • Support the compilation of QA statistics and corrective measures for reporting purposes.
  • Prepare and distribute quality testing data results.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to establish a foundation for test automation.
  • Work effectively with other Survalent staff to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
