Pre-Sales Infrastructure Specialist

This position plays a crucial role in supporting the retail and wholesale sales teams at Northwestel by designing and implementing last-mile access infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will have input and influence on the Capital Budget, Sales Support operating budget, and product services planning and implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical assistance and engineering support to Sales, Marketing, and Carrier Services teams to meet customer requirements for last-mile access solutions.
- Develop and provide quotes for customer requests, including analysis of alternatives, costing, design, and strategic recommendations.
- Consult with Account Executives and clients to prepare technical and business needs of client account plans and major proposals.
- Coordinate the design and implementation of accepted client projects to ensure a smooth handoff to engineering/operations.
- Provide feedback to Product Managers on product evolution and new product requirements from a customer perspective.
- Liaise with equipment suppliers, systems architects, and telecommunication consultants to assess technical compatibility and determine availability of equipment.
- Participate in special projects as assigned and actively participate in the Health & Safety program.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Information Technology/Telecommunications with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in wireline access or voice applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Experience with IP Networking, radio/satellite, and Workplace Health & Safety Committees is considered an asset.
