Position Overview

We are currently in search of a dedicated and proactive Site Reliability Engineer to become a vital part of our Digital Services Team. This role offers the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies through hands-on project involvement. The position is structured as a contract-to-permanent role, with a hybrid work model that includes on-site collaboration at client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and sustain a highly available, scalable, and efficient infrastructure for our applications.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies with tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Automate deployment processes and configuration management across AWS, on-premise setups, and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, EKS, Openshift).
  • Integrate Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline infrastructure provisioning and configuration updates.
  • Establish and uphold monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog or Prometheus) to proactively detect and resolve infrastructure challenges.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that infrastructure aligns with application specifications and industry best practices.
  • Engage in incident response protocols for infrastructure and application-related issues.
  • Continuously enhance infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements and trends in cloud computing, containerization, and monitoring technologies.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or in a comparable role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing principles (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with on-premise deployment strategies (optional but advantageous).
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, EKS, Openshift).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions like Datadog or Prometheus.
  • Strong scripting capabilities (Bash, Python preferred).
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
