Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts, preparing our students for success in the rapidly evolving fields of STEM.
- Contribute to the development and execution of project-based STEM activities that promote inquiry-based learning and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and assessment practices with best practices in Math and Computer Science education.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflection to continuously improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with parents about all aspects of the program and the individual learning of each student.
- Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate, with qualifications in Mathematics and/or Science.
- Junior/Intermediate teaching qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of STEM content areas, including science, mathematics, technology, and engineering.
- Previous experience with Robotics Design and Software Development.
- Ability to spark interest and passion within students for STEM learning.
- Experience working with digital and analog tools in a design technology context.
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an asset.
- Strong pedagogical skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
