Job Title: Labourer, Construction

Chatsworth Fine Homes is seeking a skilled Labourer to join our team for a temporary position. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks on construction sites, including loading and unloading materials, reading blueprints, and performing routine maintenance work.

Work Environment

The work environment will be fast-paced, with a focus on meeting tight deadlines. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions. The work setting will be varied, with locations including construction sites, residential renovations, and various other locations.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including painting and drywall repair
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
Requirements
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
