The Senior Project Leader will actively guide our clients and internal teams in the deployment of our proprietary software solutions. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, business insight, industry knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills.

Part of the Senior Project Leader's responsibilities may involve engaging directly with clients, collaborating with their business and technical teams.

Projects are staffed to ensure a combination of business and technical proficiency for the client. The duties outlined below represent the core responsibilities of the Senior Project Leader.

In addition to primary project duties, the Senior Project Leader will undertake other internal responsibilities as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client projects are delivered within scope, on schedule, with exceptional quality, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual commitments.
  • Utilize Agile or waterfall project management methodologies along with relevant software tools for planning, scheduling, reporting, and managing changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee (in a matrix management style) business analysts, developers, and testers from project initiation to successful implementation.
  • Create, monitor, and execute comprehensive project plans.
  • Collaborate closely with technical leads to develop and manage project documentation, timelines, and financials.
  • Governance - provide updates on project status, maintain project timelines, and report on project performance.
  • Estimate and formulate project budgets, including tracking project costs, reviewing budgets with clients and internal management, and maintaining detailed time records for all project team members.
  • Manage client expectations and deliverables, including addressing client issues and escalations as necessary.
  • Document and manage risks, including mitigation strategies and the resolution of delivery and support challenges.
  • Support sales and account management efforts to enhance client relationships beyond individual projects.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading software implementation projects, including development and delivery to clients.
  • Proficient in all aspects of project management practices, including the use of Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in leading teams, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to clients.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects that meet requirements, on time, and within budget.
  • A self-motivated individual who excels in a dynamic environment and can effectively prioritize multiple assignments.
