Job Title: Senior Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team at IBI Group. As a key member of our Traffic Engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing innovative traffic management solutions to improve mobility and reduce congestion in urban areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of traffic management systems, including traffic signal coordination and transit signal priority.
  • Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers and planners to develop and implement transportation solutions that meet the needs of our clients and communities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community groups to ensure that our solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Conduct traffic studies and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and develop recommendations for traffic management strategies.
  • Develop and implement traffic management plans, including traffic signal timing plans and traffic control plans.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with a strong background in traffic engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in traffic engineering, including experience in project management and business development.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic management software, including Synchro and VISUM.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a commitment to excellence and high-quality work.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
