Job Title: Maintenance Millwright - Afternoon Shift

Grand River Foods, a leading food solutions company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Millwright for the Afternoon shift. As a member of the Sunrise Farm family, we prioritize providing a quality work environment and producing high-quality products for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems and machinery at the plant.
  • Provide support to production in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing codes, regulations, and standards, including GMP, HACCP, WHIMIS, and MSDS.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration activities, maintaining updated records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance operations and promote health and safety in the workplace.
  • Complete maintenance reports and logs as required.
  • Ensure production equipment is serviced as needed and monitor utility costs.
  • Enforce safety, health, contamination, and housekeeping policies to minimize staff injuries and product contamination.
  • Track building and equipment repairs and maintain a clean work area.
  • Work safely in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Valid Millwright license.
  • Proven track record working with mechanics, machine shop practices, welding, and pneumatic and hydraulic fields.
  • 2-5 years' industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on production equipment.
  • Problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Adherence to Food Safety Protocols.
  • Ontario Millwright License.
