Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Construction Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, taking measurements, and performing various tasks related to carpentry and construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
  • Take accurate measurements and calculate material quantities
  • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to specifications
  • Lay out floorings, roofing, and walls to ensure proper leveling and compatibility
  • Move materials and equipment safely around the worksite
  • Follow site safety rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a carpenter or in a related field
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods
  • Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines and protocols
  • Good understanding of basic math and measurement concepts
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Enrolment or completion of an apprenticeship program is recommended
