Key Responsibilities- Provide Intake and Assessment Services: Conduct thorough intake and assessment of students requesting counselling services, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and concerns.

- Develop and Deliver Psychoeducational Services: Contribute to the development and delivery of psychoeducational services, such as workshops and programs, to meet the needs of targeted segments of the student population.
- Provide Referral Services: Refer students to other university and community resources when appropriate, ensuring seamless support and connection to relevant services.
- Consult with Faculty and Staff: Provide consultation services to faculty and staff regarding the wellbeing and psychological concerns of students, promoting a supportive and inclusive campus environment.
- Supervise and Train Students: Supervise and train undergraduate and graduate students, fostering their growth and development as mental health professionals.
- Evaluate Programs and Research: Evaluate programs and research that focus on student success, retention, and wellbeing, enabling evidence-based practices and informing policy decisions.
- Represent Counselling Services: Represent Counselling/Wellbeing and Accessibility Services on University committees as requested, promoting the importance of mental health support on campus.
- Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology or Related Field: Possess a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field, with registration with a professional body, such as the BCACC RCC designation.
- Experience in Clinical Counselling: Demonstrate a minimum of five years' experience in clinical counselling, with a focus on working with young adults and international students.
- Supervisory Experience: Possess experience supervising Master's level practicum students, with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and support.
- Knowledge of Student Development Theory: Demonstrate knowledge of student development theory and experience in program development, evaluation, consultation, and outreach.
- Ability to Work with Diverse Populations: Show a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of students, faculty, and staff, with a commitment to serving the needs of a broadly diverse student population.
