Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream Position

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a contractually limited term appointment in the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, for a one-year term with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

Responsibilities- Teach advanced and introductory undergraduate statistics and data science courses to students with a range of mathematical and computational backgrounds.
- Develop and deliver innovative course materials, activities, and assessments that promote pedagogical growth and excellence in teaching.
- Contribute to the development of the Department's teaching and research programs in Statistical Sciences.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field, or a Master's degree with at least 12 months of teaching experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly or creative professional activity.
