**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Department Manager to join our Deli team at Save-On-Foods. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team, acting as a coach and mentor, and fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead a team of Deli department employees, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a culture of excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase employee engagement.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of products, to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and improve overall store performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and making recommendations to drive sales.
**Requirements**
- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a grocery or food service environment.
- Food Safe Certification and a strong understanding of food safety protocols.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.
