About the Role

Munich Re of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Executive Director, Client Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development through strategic partnerships and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and implement sales strategies, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Client Management: Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of clients' strategies, identify business potential, and define risk appetite.
  • Sales and Negotiation: Develop client-specific hypotheses, define and implement sales strategies, and negotiate deals with clients and brokers.
  • Process Development: Develop and maintain deal practices and processes, in support of underwriting, actuarial, and finance.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Achievement: Demonstrate strong leadership and achievement, a strong work ethic, enthusiasm towards change, and a drive to make a difference.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent, minimum of ten years re-/insurance experience, preferably with an Actuarial background.
  • Skills and Experience: Pro-active contributor, driving new ideas and impulses to meet client demand, high in emotional intelligence, ability to negotiate best outcomes, solid knowledge of Corporate Finance and Capital Management, proven track record in concluding non-traditional reinsurance covers, and excellent analytical, negotiating, and investigative competencies.
