POSITION TITLE: Regional Equipment Service Technician

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent – Full Time

LOCATION: Westlock AB

REPORTING TO: Regional Aftermarket Service Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform high-quality repairs on agricultural machinery and components.
  2. Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties Include:

  1. Prioritize safety in all operations.
  2. Support branches within the region as directed by the Regional Aftermarket Service Manager.
  3. Act as a safety champion by interacting with branch staff, customers, and management.
  4. Assist local branches as needed based on leadership direction.
  5. Recondition and repair equipment components and systems at customer locations or designated facilities.
  6. Maintain accurate records of time, parts, supplies, and external purchases related to repairs.
  7. Care for and maintain shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  8. Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Order necessary parts and materials for repairs through local parts departments.
  10. Keep work areas clean and safe.
  11. Ensure high levels of customer and branch satisfaction.
  12. Collaborate with the Regional Aftermarket Service Manager, Service Manager, and Foreman to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  13. When regional work is unavailable, support the assigned local shop, with travel compensated during non-home branch assignments.
  14. Maintain the field service truck to ensure readiness for customer service needs.
  15. Travel to non-home branches will be compensated, and expenses will be billed to the allocated branch.
  16. Participate in Individual Development Plans and Annual Development Plans as coordinated by the Regional Aftermarket Service Manager.
  17. This role serves as regional support, assisting all branches within the region and potentially other regions as workload demands.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  1. Strong technical aptitude.
  2. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program is preferred.
  3. Familiarity with the agriculture and/or construction sectors.
  4. Knowledge of health and safety best practices.
  5. Experience with Case IH, Case CE, and New Holland equipment is advantageous.
