Job Title: Registered Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with a focus on child development and care. You will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children, planning and implementing educational programs, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our centre's goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Develop and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including maintaining a clean and organized space
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and ensure compliance
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
