Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Autumn Childcare Centre Inc.

Job Summary

The Early Childhood Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. This role involves assisting with daily routines, planning activities, and maintaining a clean and organized childcare centre.

Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Support with daily routines such as bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations on children
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Dependability, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
Work Environment

The Early Childhood Assistant will work in a fast-paced childcare centre environment, interacting with children, educators, and parents. The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.

The work language is English.
