About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Framatome. As a key member of our Installed Base Business Unit, you will play a critical role in delivering clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard engineering assignments in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, and resolution of field problems.
  • Complete field visits to support engineering work development.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure solutions identified meet underlying needs.
  • Complete engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, and maintenance.
Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Registered for a Professional Engineering License (P. Eng).
  • Strong understanding of CSA N285.0, CSA B51, CSA N299/Z299, ASME BPVC.
  • Familiarity with CSA S16, CSA N289, National Building Code of Canada, ASME B30.20.
  • Proficient in engineering software tools, such as ANSYS, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, Solid Works, MicroShield.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with senior engineers and other disciplines.
  • Ability to respond rapidly to changing demands.
