About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Framatome. As a key member of our Installed Base Business Unit, you will play a critical role in delivering clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard engineering assignments in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, and preparation of specifications.
  • Complete field visits to support engineering work development and liaise with clients to ensure solutions meet underlying needs.
  • Complete engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, and maintenance.
Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, with an advanced degree in similar fields preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in an engineering role, with a Professional Engineering License (P. Eng) and a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and senior engineers.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools, such as ANSYS, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, Solid Works, and MicroShield.
  • Ability to prepare and/or provide critical peer review of various engineering calculations and reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
